Perranuthnoe Beach
Chyvounder's immediate local beachA south-facing sandy beach a short walk from the door. The amount of exposed sand changes significantly with the tide — low tide exposes considerably more sand — and the beach area connects you with the surrounding coastal walking and the South West Coast Path.

Iconic local landmark — a definite Chyvounder recommendationA historic island and castle reached from Marazion, St Michael's Mount is one of the most recognisable sights on the West Cornwall coast. Causeway access is tide-dependent, with boats operating at other times and seasons. It's a short, easy drive from Chyvounder and a genuinely worthwhile trip.

Minack Theatre
A distinctive open-air theatre on the coastAn open-air theatre carved into the cliffside above the sea. It's a remarkable place even if you're not attending a performance — the setting itself is the draw, with the Atlantic spread out below the stage. Worth knowing about simply for the view if nothing else.
