Set in a peaceful, private location, Chyvounder is an adults-only holiday home for a maximum of two adults, designed primarily for couples and solo travellers. Whether you're exploring the rugged Cornish coastline with your dog or simply unwinding in your own enclosed garden, this is a place designed for complete relaxation.

Chyvounder is a one-bedroom, self-catering holiday home accommodating a maximum of two guests. The single guest bedroom has a double bed, and there is one bathroom with a shower, wash basin and toilet.
The kitchen and living space are open plan, with a dining area and table seating 2–4 people. It's a relaxed, practical space for preparing meals from local Cornish produce or unwinding after a day on the coast.
Dedicated private parking is provided for up to two cars, and easy self check-in lets you arrive entirely on your own terms.
Outside, Chyvounder has a private, fully enclosed garden with a patio and outdoor furniture — a safe space for your dog to roam while you enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
A separate utility shed contains a washer/dryer and a second fridge, along with useful dog supplies including spare leads and poo bags.
There is also a separate multipurpose room with a small selection of exercise equipment, books and a craft/work table. This room was formerly a bedroom but is not a sleeping space, and Chyvounder's maximum occupancy remains two guests.
The layout
The normal guest entrance is at the rear of Chyvounder, where you collect your keys. It opens into a small hallway, with the main bedroom immediately on the right — convenient for dropping your luggage straight in when you arrive. The separate multipurpose room sits opposite the bedroom.
The shower room is next to the bedroom and has two doors: one from the hallway and one directly from the bedroom, so it works equally well whether you are getting ready for the day or settling down for the night. The hallway then leads through to the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. There is also a front entrance that opens directly into the lounge.
The patio sits immediately outside Chyvounder and can be reached from either entrance. It sits within the private, fully enclosed garden, which also has a small lawn, an additional bench seating area and established greenery and flowers.
The separate utility shed is beside the rear entrance and is accessed externally. Dedicated private parking for up to two cars is immediately beside Chyvounder but outside the garden hedge. The short route from the parking area to the rear guest entrance passes through the garden entrance gate and across grass with inset stepping stones.

Season & minimum stay
Chyvounder is open from mid-April through 31 October and closed over winter. During the season, stays have a minimum of 5 nights.
Pricing & payment
Check availability and the price for your chosen dates in our booking system. A 30% deposit secures a booking, with the balance due 5 days before arrival. For bookings made 5 days or less before arrival, full payment is required at booking.
Arrival & departure
Check-in is from 4:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am. Easy self check-in lets you arrive at your own pace.
Who it's for
Chyvounder sleeps a maximum of two adults. It's adults-only, so children and infants are not accommodated.
Dogs
Up to four dogs are welcome at no additional charge. Dogs shouldn't be left alone at Chyvounder, but they're very welcome to make themselves at home with you. They're allowed on the furniture and on the bed — we simply ask that you put down one of the supplied throws first if your dog sleeps on the bed.
Smoking & vaping
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside Chyvounder. Both are permitted outside in the garden.
Parties & visitors
Parties and events are not permitted. Daytime visitors are welcome — as a courtesy, please let us know when you're expecting visitors.
Damage
No security or damage deposit is taken. If something is damaged during your stay, we simply ask that you replace it like-for-like where possible.

Access information
We want guests to have enough information to decide whether Chyvounder will suit their individual needs. The access information below describes the property as it is currently arranged.
Parking & arrival
- Dedicated private parking for up to two cars sits immediately beside Chyvounder, just outside the garden boundary.
- From the parking area you enter through a pedestrian-width garden gate. There is no step at the gate, but it is not wide enough for wheelchair access.
- The route through the garden is over level grass with inset stepping stones, rather than a paved or hard-surfaced path.
Entrances
- The usual guest entrance is at the rear of Chyvounder. There are 3 steps up to this entrance and a door threshold to step over. There is currently no handrail at these steps.
- The front entrance also has 3 steps, a door threshold and currently no handrail.
- Chyvounder therefore does not currently have step-free access at either entrance.
Inside
- Once inside, the accommodation is all on one level, with no internal stairs between the bedroom, shower room, multipurpose room and open-plan living, kitchen and dining area.
Bedroom
- The bedroom has a double bed. You can access the bed from both the left and right sides, but there is not walking space across the foot of the bed.
Shower room
- The shower is a walk-in shower, but it is not completely level-access as there is a raised lip to step over.
- Grab handles are provided in the shower. There are currently no grab rails beside the toilet.

Chyvounder is located just outside the centre of Perranuthnoe, a small coastal village in West Cornwall. The exact arrival details are shared privately with booked guests, but the village and coast are easy to reach on foot.
